The agreement, in plain language.

These terms explain what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and how consent, licensing, and payment actually work here. Read them with the privacy policy, which covers what we hold and how to have it removed.

Last updated August 2026

The short version

  • Contributors own their likeness, approve every image, earn a share of every licence, and can withdraw at any time.
  • Brands get a perpetual commercial licence with a model release on file, and a clear list of uses that are off limits.
  • One credit licenses one image. Credits have no cash value and are not refundable once spent.
  • Withdrawal is forward-looking: images already licensed stay with the brand that paid for them.
01

The agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Stocker Studio. They cover this website, the image marketplace, Product Studio, and your account portal. By creating an account, licensing an image, or contributing your likeness, you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

02

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Stocker Studio. You sign in with Google or an email magic link, so your inbox is your key: keep it secure, and treat anything done through your account as done by you.

  • Give accurate account details and keep them current.
  • One account per person or company. Do not share sign-in links or let anyone else use your account.
  • You choose a role at onboarding — brand or contributor. Email us if you need it changed.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
03

If you contribute your likeness

Contributors upload a set of photos of themselves, verify their identity, and get a private model trained on those photos alone. It is never pooled with other people and never used to train shared or foundation models.

  • Every photo you upload must be of you, and you must hold the rights to it. No photos of other people, including children, and no images you do not own.
  • You need at least 10 usable photos; 15 to 20 gives a better model. Files must meet the size, resolution, and sharpness checks shown during upload.
  • Identity verification runs through Stripe Identity, which compares a government ID against a live selfie. We do not receive or store your ID document.
  • You review every generated image and decide what reaches the marketplace. Nothing is published without your approval.
  • We may decline or remove a submission that fails our checks or these terms.
04

Your likeness grant

When you create a contributor account you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use your training photos and AI likeness in generated output — marketplace stock images and on-demand brand product shoots. We record that consent with its wording, a timestamp, and the IP address it came from, so the trail is auditable.

You are not selling your identity. You keep your rights in your source photos, you keep the right to say no to any individual image, and you can withdraw the grant at any time.

05

Withdrawing consent

Withdraw from Settings whenever you want. No notice period, no explanation needed. When you do:

  • Your published images are unpublished from the marketplace immediately and stop being licensable.
  • You are removed from the Product Studio model picker, and any queued generation for you stops.
  • Images a brand already licensed stay with that brand under the licence they paid for. We cannot claw those back, so withdrawal is forward-looking.
  • Royalties you already earned remain yours.

To go further and have your private model, source photos, and personal record deleted, email us from your registered address and we will do it within 30 days. See the privacy policy for the detail.

06

Royalties and payouts

Every licence of your likeness is recorded with your share attached. Your earnings ledger in the contributor portal is the authoritative record.

  • Marketplace licences: you receive 70% of the credit value of each licence.
  • Product Studio model shots: you receive 30%, because those shots also cover generation cost.
  • Payouts are not live yet. Earnings accrue in your dashboard and are paid retroactively once payouts launch, subject to the minimum payout threshold shown there.
  • We may need tax and payment details before releasing a payout. You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.
  • If we change the revenue share, the new share applies only to licences issued after the change.
07

Plans, credits, and payment

Brands buy credits, directly or through a plan, and spend them across the library and Studio. Current plans and prices are on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card or UPI details. Amounts are shown in INR for India and USD internationally.

  • One credit licenses one marketplace image. One credit covers one Product Studio product shot. A model shot uses five, because it combines two generations.
  • Studio is paid through Razorpay as a one-time credit allotment. Buying again adds more credits. Recurring billing is not enabled until we turn on Razorpay Subscriptions.
  • Credits are tied to your account. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and are not a stored-value instrument.
  • If a Studio generation fails to deliver, the credits for it return to your balance automatically.
  • Credit purchases are otherwise non-refundable, except where the law says otherwise.
  • Prices can change. The pricing page always shows the amount you will be charged before you pay.
08

What your licence lets you do

Downloading an image issues you a standard licence: non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual for the uses below, and non-transferable. It is recorded against your account, so re-downloading the same image later costs nothing. Anything broader needs a written agreement with us.

  • Use it commercially: websites, apps, social media, editorial, presentations, and digital advertising.
  • Use it in print, up to 500,000 copies.
  • Crop, retouch, and colour-correct it to fit your layout.
  • Let contractors working on your project use the file for that project only.

Every image comes with a model release on file from the person shown. That is the whole point of the library: the consent behind the face is documented, not assumed.

09

What your licence does not allow

These limits protect the people in the images. Breaking them ends your licence to the image concerned.

  • Do not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the file as stock, or bundle it into a template, dataset, or download library.
  • Do not use it as a trademark, logo, or any mark implying ownership of the person shown.
  • Do not put it on merchandise or physical goods for resale without an extended licence from us.
  • Do not claim to be the author or original creator of the image.
  • Do not imply the person shown endorses a product, service, cause, candidate, or belief.
  • Do not use it in pornographic, defamatory, hateful, or unlawful contexts, or any way that would reasonably embarrass the person shown.
  • Do not connect it to sensitive subjects — health conditions, sexual behaviour, substance use, crime, politics, or religion — without our written permission.
  • Do not use it to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any machine learning model, or to build a competing dataset or generator.
  • Do not remove watermarks from previews or obtain files outside the normal download flow.
10

Using the platform fairly

Do not scrape the library, hammer our APIs, bypass rate limits or paywalls, reverse engineer the service, attempt to extract or reconstruct anyone’s private model, upload malicious or unlawful content, or interfere with other people’s use of the service. Automated access needs our written permission.

11

Who owns what

The platform, its software, and the Stocker Studio name and marks are ours. Nothing here gives you rights to them beyond using the service as intended.

Contributors keep the rights in the photos they upload. Generated images are produced by us using a contributor’s private model, and we hold the rights needed to license them to brands and to pay the contributor their share. Brands receive the licence described above, not ownership of the image.

12

Beta service

Stocker Studio is in beta. Features can change, move, or be withdrawn, models get retrained, and there will be downtime. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and we recommend keeping your own copies of files you rely on.

13

Suspension and closing your account

You can close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, attempts fraud, or puts contributors at risk.

  • Closing a contributor account unpublishes your images and stops future licensing.
  • We keep an anonymised record of consent, licences, and credit transactions after closure, because those records are what make the consent trail auditable.
  • Licences already issued to brands survive, as do the sections of these terms that should logically outlast the account.
14

Disclaimers

The service and the images are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind beyond those the law will not let us exclude. AI-generated imagery can contain artefacts and inaccuracies; you are responsible for reviewing an image before you publish it, and for making sure your particular use is lawful in your market.

15

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

16

Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable losses and legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, from content you upload, or from how you use a licensed image — including a use that falls outside your licence.

17

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the competent courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Before filing anything, email us — most problems are faster to fix than to litigate. Rights you hold as a consumer under your local law are unaffected.

18

Changes to these terms

We update these terms as the product changes, and the date at the top always reflects the current version. For changes that materially affect your rights, we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.

Questions about these terms

Email us and a person will answer. For anything about your data, your likeness, or deletion, write to privacy@stocker.studio instead — it routes straight to the people who handle it.
